Boilerhouse creates website for First Global Screen

Boilerhouse has created the website for First Global Screen, a new venture providing original and independent drama, documentary and music movies on demand over the web. The launch site features the first episode of a new drama, Roads to Freedom, the story of five generations of one family from the Solway Firth, Cumbria. Boilerhouse are also responsible for the web video compression, presentation and streaming.

A great day was had by all at the UKGovCamp2010 for which we provided the logo and the t-shirts (described by one delegate’s wife as making him look like a superhero, so we did something right here……..For the uninitiated, this event was the third Barcamp for UK government and was held on 23 January at Google HQ in London. Boilerhouse conceived and designed the microsite www.socitm09.net for the annual conference of its client Socitm, a professional association of public sector IT professionals.

Boilerhouse put together a web page (www.pcw09.co.uk) to aggregate all the tweets, blogs, pictures and other user generated content around the Socitm Headstar Building the Perfect Council Website event on 15 July.

LocalGovCamp Birmingham

LocalGovCamp is an 'Unconference for local government' that took place today at Fazeley Studios in Birmingham. It was a gathering of people interested in how local government needs to adapt to a world of social networks and data sharing. Boilerhouse developed the logo and produced some t-shirts for the event.
